heating issue

I am facing a serious heating problem while charging in my Samsung A50.... in the upper portion of my phone.

my last phone lenovo k8 note used to heat during charging and while extensive usage
i thought that it might be normal for a phone with mediatek processor but fast forward 16 months it is now lying on a shelf with a damaged motherboard ( I suspect some ICs got burnt)
the heating issue escalated over time and i did not use covers for majority of the time
