I had this problem with my galaxy A30. It just stopped working. But I found how to fix it. First Restart your phone. Then goto settings -> developer settings and enable USB debugging & click on "revoke USB Debugging authorisations" (the next option below) and exit settings. Then try plugging in. If it doesn't work then turn USB debugging off and click on revoke USB Debugging authorisations again and exit settings. Then try plugging in again. If it still didn't work, try restarting the phone. Hope this helped, it worked for my A30.
