I'm writing to highlight critical areas where the A55's camera image processing needs significant upgrades:

Camera Processing Concerns

- Image processing currently produces artifacts and inconsistent quality, especially in challenging lighting conditions

- Noticeable issues with noise in homogeneous areas like sky and indoor shots

- Bokeh mode suffers from subject segmentation errors

Specific Improvement Recommendations

1. Enhanced Image Processing

- Implement more advanced computational photography techniques

- Reduce noise and artifacts in low-light and complex scenes

- Improve color accuracy and dynamic range

2. Video Stabilization

- Upgrade electronic image stabilization (EIS) to match top-tier devices

- Reduce video cropping, especially in front camera mode

3. Zoom Quality

- Address subpar 2x zoom performance with better digital zoom processing

- Consider adding computational zoom capabilities similar to flagship models

4. Portrait Mode Enhancements

- Introduce 2x portrait mode option

- Improve subject detection and background separation

These improvements will help the A55 realize its full camera potential and compete more effectively in the mid-range smartphone market.

It's been almost 1 year since A55's launch, yet the camera **bleep**... Seriously, your team really need to redirect their focus in the camera improvement too. 🙏

I hope and prefer, the next update shall come with the necessary upgrades!

Well, Samsung India needs to understand that the A55 is not a cheap phone! I don't know at what price bracket this phone launched in overseas markets, or whether it's considered cheap there. But surely, the A55 in India at ₹36,000 is not a budget or mid-range phone; it's definitely an upper mid-range phone!
Performance-wise, the phone is doing okay not great. But the camera performance is questionable.
