I feel that all the three modes as they're overlapping each other in essence. Either they turn off notifications or that they allow only notifications from only some app.

The purpose of all 3 modes is that they allow the user to focus on whatever they may be doing. The apps allowed under focus mode generally don't issue any notifications or so I think.

However, a similar functionality makes me confused about their usage. We can just use DND mode for hoth sleeptime and while we want some "metime".

DND - no notification and sound from phone which may attract your attention
.
Focus mode - DND + only some selected apps can work during this mode
.
Bedtime - DND + b/w screen + Power Saving mode (can be done) + wake up Alarm can also be set with it.

Well explained. I don't know why the OP couldn't figure this out since it was very obvious.

Hi mHappie, thanks for taking out time to explain.

DND allows for both notifications as well as apps to work as an exception. You just need to add the apps that you want in that mode. Same is the case with the focus mode, some apps are allowed.

It's only in the Bedtime mode that no app, no notification is allowed.
