Hello,
I have been using galaxy a73 5g but I am oly getting quarterly updates. But the galaxy a53 5g is getting monthly updates and patches.A73 5g is much more expensive than A53 5g but samsung choose a53 5g to give the monthly updates. By the way, the 2 years old A52s and A52 are still getting monthly updates. Samsung is doing unfair for us. Now I am regretting that I should have bought galaxy A52s 5g which is very much similar to galaxy a73 5g. And costs INR 5,000 lesser.
Please tell me the reason why samsung has done this. Anyway galaxy a73 has gotten much bugs and had been crashing many times after the one ui 5.0 update and still got no updates after feb security patch

It's not about price of the device. Each device has an update policy. A5x series are entrepreneur models which are scheduled to get monthly updates. A5x models often gets faster updates than old flagships. On the other hand A7x models will get only quarterly updates. The policy is there on Samsung website.

Try to buy devices after they're launched as the update policy varies for each device. Even A72 doesn't receive monthly updates.
Refer this: https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb
And also don't jinx A52 and A52s, they are yet to receive the April patch and will only get monthly for like a year more and then will be shifted to Quarterly more likely.

A52 is already more than 2 years old. If it gets monthly updates for one more year, it's awesome. Also, monthly updates are given usually after 20th of the month for older flagships and A5x series models.(that's been the case since launch, except 1 month or something). A52 wil get April patch before end of April.

Yes, it is okay that your policy is to give updates in 3 months, but if there is any problem in the device, then you update it in 3 months only, it causes problems to the users, what about that?
