There is no 'Network Storage' in 'My Files' after upgrade to Android 11/One UI 3.1 (Samsung A40)

'Network Storage' were added to 'My Files' in One UI 2.1. My Samsung A40 didn't get it (I had One UI 2.0). One of the main reasons why I wanted Android 11 with One UI 3.1 was the hope to get 'Network Storage' with the update. Yesterday I installed the update and 'My Files' still does not have 'Network Storage'. So here is the question: is my phone going to get it at all or not?

I already tried installing 'Network Storage Manager' manually - didn't help.

Don't get how it's related to my question. The feature was introduced in One UI 2.1 and I got One UI 3.1 with the update. Shouldn't the newer version have it?

So you meant that if I didn't get this feature with the update then I, obviously, won't get it cause I won't get another update? That's true.

But shouldn't a newer version have the features of the previous versions? (3.1 would have the features of 2.1) Does Samsung cut some things (or just doesn't include ones) out of the A series firmwares intentionally?

Is your file manager updated to the latest version ?

Yeah, of course. It was the first thing I checked. Actually, I got the last version of 'My files' with the update.

I have the same issue with my tab s6. I can add it manually but it wont store the details

This issue of network storage not showing up in my files is also present in m31 while my oneUI version is 4.1

Hi, i have the same issues ...I cannot map to a network drive on MyFiles.

MyFiles V13.1.03.501, UI Core 4.1 and Android V12.

My Mobile Myfiles works ....V 14.1.00.452
