Samsung is only promising regular updates but not even giving one, my phone A16 android security patch update is still on april, where is the monthly security updates. I am very disappointed also the one ui with latest upgrade is not much change than the previous one and they promising 5 years of OS.
The Galaxy A16 (assuming you meant A15 2024 or A16 2025 variant) is likely on a quarterly security update schedule, not monthly—despite vague “regular updates” marketing.
Samsung's own site (last updated June 2025) lists A14 and A15 under quarterly updates, so A16 will likely follow the same pattern.
This means: only 4 security patches per year, and they’re usually delayed, especially in non-flagship models and in certain regions.
So yes—your device is due, but this delay is unfortunately normal for budget Galaxy devices.
