Guess what! Samsung made secure folder even more **bleep*****tty. Before it could be locked automatically whenever I close the app. But now it doesn't. You have to do it manually otherwise the phone screen has to be turned off. As this point I can say Samsung is going backward. I'm just waiting for the day to throw this garbage **bleep*****t into a trashbin.

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your query, we would like to inform you that the “Auto-Lock Immediately” or “Lock when Exit the App” options have been removed from the Secure Folder in ONE UI 8. This change is due to limitations of the Android platform and is not considered an issue; it is the normal behavior in ONE UI 8.

Please note the following changes:

● The “Auto-Lock Immediately” feature is no longer available. However, you can manually lock the Secure Folder or hide its icon using the steps below:

Option 1: Lock Secure Folder Manually:
1. Open Secure Folder.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner.
3. Select "Lock and exit" to immediately lock the folder.

Option 2: Hide Secure Folder Icon:
1. Swipe down to open the Quick Panel.
2. Tap the Secure Folder icon to hide or unhide it from the home screen/app drawer.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
