It is from last 2 days that I'm noticing a green dot on the upper right corner of my screen, which to my knowledge indicates microphone being used. I don't know what actually is using it, and tried turning microphone access off and then on again, but it is still there. And now I tried accessing Google assistant and that too wasn't responding by saying hey google. Tried the diagnostic test and the microphone was working. So now the issue is that I am afraid of my privacy being invaded by accessing my microphone. If someone can help me with this, please do, I will appreciate your assistance.

If you pull down the quick settings panel and click on the green icon, it will show you which app is using your microphone/camera.

Check first, which app is using your microphone.
Just click on green dot and then click on the app that shows and then stop it.

Thank you for your responses. Surprisingly it just disappeared without having to do anything. Else it was constantly there from the last 2 days.

It was probably an app running in the background. Keep an eye out for it, and see if it happens again.
