Did anyone received an update for they A55 yet because I have'nt received any updates not ui 7 and now ui 8 they tell me it is on the imei batch but it seems the batch that I am on doesn't receive updates
Hi Yes — the Samsung Galaxy A55 has started receiving the stable One UI 8 (Android 16) update — but on a region-by-region, staged-rollout basis, so it may not have reached all devices yet. For example:
The update went live in South Korea for the A55 in late September.
It expanded to India in early October.
According to a support page the estimated timing for “Unlocked / Global” models of the A55 is listed as around November/December.
Because of the phased rollout, there are a number of reasons you might not have seen the update yet:
The rollout could still be restricted by region or carrier (your country/market may be later in the queue).
Your particular IMEI or serial-batch might be part of a later wave (you mentioned a “batch”).
Your specific variant (carrier-locked, specific country model) might be excluded until later.
Sometimes there are delays caused by carrier testing, local language support, or bugs caught in earlier waves.
What you can try
1. Go to Settings → Software Update → Download & Install and manually check.
2. Make sure your WiFi connection is good, battery is sufficiently charged (or plugged in), and there’s enough storage free.
3. If you’re running a carrier-locked model, check with your carrier if they have any special rollout scheduling.
4. Be patient — since Samsung is doing a staged rollout, being “late” in the queue is fairly common.
5. If you want to force/accelerate it (at your own risk) you could check Samsung’s firmware databases for your exact model/region. But be cautious about compatibility.
Try to update your phone using Odin use PC or laptop you can check YouTube video how to do it coz I have receive one ui 8 but I did update one ui 7 using Odin and you need to backup your phone 1st
