Back in 2020 I bought Samsung A50s despite from huge negative reviews about buying a samsung phone around my friends circle i bought it. I just loved that phone it has amazing camera, display smooth UI not any annoying blotwares etc. I have regularly updates all security updates charged device from 10 to 90% not even used another charger for single time. But phone camera quality got degraded over time..can't even take a proper A4 sized page, the letters are blurry focus hunting issues etc. The phone got slower and laggy sometimes...may be it's due to usage. But the real culprit is doing software updates..while you update your device you will get your device bux fixed, better security, new UI, new android version etc but you have to compromise your camera quality . To prove last year I have bought 2 A54 devices ,one device I regularly updated and another one I didn't do updates. The device which I didn't updated is working smooth and fine and has better camera quality and speaker quality while compared. My question is why this is happening, and everyone crying to get One UI7

think twice before updating....
If it is not by doing software updates I would like to get an answer from community members, because I love samsung phones, even watch, airbuds,TV everything I have is from samsung.

It’s great to see your dedication to Samsung devices and your passion for understanding their performance over time. Software updates are designed to enhance security, fix bugs, and introduce new features, but they can sometimes impact performance, including camera quality, battery life, and system speed.
Several factors could contribute to the issues you're experiencing after updates:
1. Optimizations and Tweaks: Updates often modify image processing algorithms, which can change the way photos look. If you prefer an older camera tuning, it may feel like a downgrade.
2. Increased System Requirements: New updates bring improved features, but they also demand more resources, which can make older hardware struggle.
3. Background Processes & RAM Management: Over time, more apps running in the background can slow down a device. It's a good practice to check RAM usage, put unused apps in deep sleep, and restart the device regularly.
4. Storage & Cache Buildup: A nearly full storage or excessive cached data can impact performance. Periodically clearing cache and ensuring at least 20% of storage is free can help.
5. Third-Party Apps & APKs: Installing apps from unknown sources or modified APKs can cause compatibility issues and degrade performance over time.
For those considering updates, it’s always good to check feedback from users with similar devices before proceeding. If a device feels slower after an update, a factory reset can often help in restoring performance.
Samsung is continuously improving One UI, and while some users report issues, others experience smoother performance. Ultimately, software updates are a balance of security, stability, and new features, so it’s important to evaluate whether an update aligns with your usage preferences.
Would love to hear insights from the community on this!
