Screen Recording doesn't work on Galaxy A23?

With the latest update of the phone, I can see a "screen recorder" button on the panel and it works too however after recording a screen video when I check the galley the video that is recorded doesn't play. Is my phone not compatible with screen recording? Or there is an issue with the inbuilt video player? Lmk.

Why not work screen recorder in Samsung galaxy a23 in gallery. So solve my problems

Actually I kinda figured. If you open the video through a different video player like MX player then the video kinda plays/works tho you won't be able to open it with the inbuilt video player.
