They reduced the time period first from 360 days to 300 days and now from 300 days to 180 days, ALL WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE.
Last year when I tried to register my mother's F41 for an extended warranty the time period was reduced to 300 days after purchase from the earlier 360 days and hence I couldn't register. So, I noted this and saved a reminder for registering my A52s5g. And today when I tried to buy the plan, they reduced the eligibility time period to 180 days from 300 days!!
This is so UNETHICAL and shows that Samsung has ZERO TRUST IN THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. They know that their devices these days won't probably work after 1 year. That's why they are trying desperately to reduce the chances of extending the warranty.
As a responsible brand they should have made a public statement before reducing the eligibility period unilaterally. The customers are left clueless. The funny part is that the Samsung members app still shows that I am eligible to buy the Samsung care plus plans!!
