Seems like Samsung will be rolling out a new update to the Galaxy A7 (2018) that will bring Android 9.0 Pie to the smartphone. The device has been been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance running with the latest Android version.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched last year in India with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. Now since the device has been spotted running Android 9.0 Pie on Wi-Fi Alliance’s website, it is now expected that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will soon receive the latest Android 9.0 Pie update.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched in India in two variants - 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 23,990 and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 28,990. It recently received a price cut after which the phone is now available at a reduced price of Rs 18,990 for the 4GB RAM and Rs 22,990 for the 6GB RAM option.
To recall, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080x2220 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Exynos 7885 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The smartphone comes in two memory configurations - 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. Both the variants are further expandable up to 512GB via micro SD.
It has a has a triple rear camera of 24-megapixel with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 8-megapixel with ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. For the front, the phone has a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. For the software, the smartphone currently runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the company’s own Samsung Experience on top and is fueled by a 3300mAh battery with adaptive fast charging.
