🤣Lol, looks like you missed specs sheet, it only have virtual proximity sensing which clearly is mentioned by samsung
https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphones/galaxy-a/galaxy-a52s-5g-awesome-violet-128gb-storage-6gb-ram-...

Virtual proximity sensing relies on accelerometer and gyroscope to work and it isn't accurate

Devices with super amoled plus have under display proximity sensor like M51, M52, A71

I think you also can't interpret difference between 'sensor' and 'sensing'...Screenshot_20211231-023922_Chrome.pngScreenshot_20211231-023956_Chrome.png

I said it doesn't have dedicated hardware proximity sensor , i can't find words 'at all' in that comment 🤣

That name virtual is given because it works with software ai and gyroscope, accelerometer only to mimic dedicated hard proximity sensor which is missing in most samsung devices

Maybe you can't read article that how bad and inaccurate this thing is

I have a problem with virtual "proximity sensor" ... I chose A52s after lot of positive reviews. Nobody mentioned in all those reviews that this phone doesn't have physical proximity sensor. Virtual proximity sensor is totally useless solution. People have to push their cheek into display like ...  Even stupid cheap budget phones I used before had normal physical proximity sensors and I was able to call with phone a few cm far from my head. This phone is 4 times more expensive and even though Samsung decided to cheapskate on this. Wish I knew sooner because now I can't take the pohone back to the store. I thought it was just a coincidence or my fault that it doesn't work.   Samsung please, are you going to improve the "virtual proximity" to be on par with physical proximity sensors ( for example by using front camera somehow, I don't know if it's technically possible ) or should I throw this phone against a wall and buy a different phone? Thank you

Btw: Funny is that cheaper M52 is most probably equipped by hardware proximity sensor.

Edit: Sorry for my English. I tried to correct the post to be more understandable

@lucSvk i understand your concern it pisses me off as well but as for now my issue for proximity sensor is kind of solved i do not face such issue for now mentioned above.....n well every phones has its cons n pros.....m52 does'nt have 3.5 mm jack dual speakers( not sure for that) ip67 in display fingerprint etc....so dont be disheartened by your device just for virtual proximity your device still equipped with tons of other features n till now still the best in market with knox security...no brands till now comes with this type of security n updatesScreenshot_20211001-224827_Chrome.jpg
