Media storage app has occupied 24.8 GB of space

This system app called "media storage" is using obscene amount of storage and I cannot even clear data of it.

Another issue is this useless shovelware app called "Samsung Free" keeps crashing in the background. I don't ever even use this app.
All of this is happening in OneUI 4. Samsung we need a fix.

Well, the "media storage" app's storage usage seems to go down as I delete stuff such as music and unneeded media. So there's that. Samsung should explain it better to avoid confusion

Media storage probably refers to images, videos, audio etc stored on your phone.
