Malfunction of Samsung max app

I want to completely block data usage for some particular apps such that it cannot use data even when the app is open on my screen and data is also on either mobile data or Wi-Fi.

After a month of inconvenience I found this feature on Samsung Max application.

 but this feature doesn't actually work

Even when I'm posting this post the mobile data is disabled for Chrome😂

Aren't you posting from Samsung Memberas app?

Directly enable the data saver option and block all app from using background data and if you need to unblock any app ( means that the app can use background data even the data saver is on )
then go to app info > mobile data > enable the option allow app while data saver is on
