I'm unable to cast the phone screen on my P.C even though I have both the latest Windows version and Android version.I've allowed all required permissions, am logged in the same Microsoft account from both the systems,using the same wifi connection and have the Phone companion app on.Infact notifications,messages,photos are all visible on my p.c.But when it comes to phone screen,it always says "Something Happened.We're having trouble connecting at the moment.Wait a bit,then try again". BUT IT NEVER WORKS.Also there's an Error code: 42 showing below the above message.
make sure your pc is discoverable to all in cast to this pc option. Turn on smart view in your Samsung device.( if you are casting a video or something to the PC)
Go to settings > system on your Windows 10 and select project to this pc. If you have never done casting it will most likely ask you to download additional plugin called wireless display. install it and make your pc visible to all the devices in the network. then open the connect app in Windows 10 and open smart view in your galaxy device. when the device is viewed please initiate connection.
