Fingerprint sensor not working

Fingerprint does not work, says "Fingerprint sensor calibration needed".

Help.

Remove all registered fingerprints and clear the cache by entering Android recovery mode. Then re-add your fingerprints

I have no fingerprints, the phone has just been factory reset.

Use device care to run diagnostics for the fingerprint sensor then try again

I can't because I don't have registered fingerprints.

Is the fingerprint sensor under the display or on the power button?

It is under the display.

Did you have the screen replaced by a new one?

The phone has recently been serviced but the screen was not replaced.

Were you able to use the fingerprint after the service? If not you'll have to take it back and enquire about it.
