Okay Even After December Update,  I am suffering problems. 
I cant register a new fingerprint. 
Now is this i **bleep** joke 🤬.
Since two months I haven't used my on-display scanner.
Then Whats the use of buying this phone😡

im also having the same issue
and the December update using more battery than before
now front camera is out of focus

clean your fingerprint scanner and restart your device than go to setting and try to add finger correctly otherwise you wait for new update or visit service center near you.

Everything is same and there is no problem.
Still it is not recognizing.
Need to wait for January Update

Experiencing the same problem with Galaxy A70.... even I wrote to them but they seem to be sleeping. They haven't replied to me since 8 days
