So my galaxy A73 fell into a bucket of water for few seconds. But the water went into the phone and damaged my phones display. So whats the point of claiming ip67 rated which ensures phone being waterproof for 30 minutes into 1.5 meter deep waters. Now the service center is charging 8.1k for display replacement.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you Devices checked by an international standard rating of IP67 are deemed fit enough to withstand dust, dirt, and sand, and are resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5m underwater for up to thirty minutes. The devices with an IP67 rating are water resistant not waterproof.
Note: Based on test conditions for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Not advised for beach or pool use and soapy water.

However, As your product is physically damaged and you have already visited the service center and they have guided you through the information regarding the part replacement after the physical inspection of your device. And, the charges are applicable to the repair which was already confirmed by the service team.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

Dear samsung customer support,
My phone was submerged in freshwater only and that too for few seconds .The service center people are now telling me that the gum used for sealing the phone melted due to temperature and they insisted to change gum on my new s24 ultra in 5-6 months . I believe that it is not a fault from my side and this should not have been the case for a device which is IP67 rated .
