By double-tapping the recent button, the phone will skip showing you the recent apps and just instantly pop you over to the last app you had opened. Double-tap it again, and you pop back. It is a real time saver.

This feature used to be in samsung from android nougat to android 9 but after android 10 update, I can't instantly switch back to the previously opened app by double tapping the recent app button because of Intervening animations.

After enabling the 'remove animations' option in android 10 this feature can't be used.

There has been a trick to remove animations before android 10, by going to developer options and disabling all the animations, the feature worked faster and better in previous versions.

Now after android 10, the feature does not work after enabling the 'remove animations' option.

I have always been fan of this extremely useful feature and using it since I bought my galaxy a6+ phone.

Kindly Samsung please bring the feature back, I request you.

This feature works on my Galaxy A50 running Android 10 (One UI 2.0).

Do you use Good Lock?
What happens when you double tap the recents button?

Goodlock app does not work well too. when I click on recent button (not double tap), any game I am playing runs in background instead of pausing. Don't you think the feature should be inbuilt instead of relying on any app.

Apart from games, does double-tapping works as intended elsewhere? On my A50, double-tapping the recents button smoothly switches to the last used app.

Yes, I know it doesn't depend on Good Lock. Working fine for me as well, both with or without Good Lock.

I didn't expect this from Samsung. I expected the problem to be solved after updating the model with the latest security update but the problem persist. If other models are working fine then why my a6 plus shouldn't...? Please Samsung provide a stable one ui 2 update for galaxy a6 plus. There are other three problems in galaxy a6 plus. I am soon going to post about them.
