C type earphones not working with galaxy m40

I am using samsung c type earphones that came with the phone on galaxy m40 itself and everytime i connect it shows "charging connected device is USB" instead of playing songs....but the earphones are working fine with other phone...any suggestions ????

change the mode buddy. Probably you marked mode as only charging.

Hi there,

Please perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

1- Perform Interactive checks through the Samsung Members app (Samsung Member > Get Help > Interactive checks > Headphones/Charger/USB).

2- Check the mentioned issue in safe mode.

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > click on “+“icon > send feedback > error report/ask questions).

I lost my original c type earphones which i got with m 40.So i bought a c type earphone of another company but it's not working.

experiencing the same issue, advised nysc customer care to reset the phone .. but that too didn't work .. headset .. that came with the phone works on other samsung m40, and the port, which is a single common port, is also working, a theory phone is getting charged.... anyone who could help ???
