I received the Android 12 stable update (OTA) few days back on my Galaxy A52. Ever since the update, Bluetooth is not functioning normally. I can connect (pair) with my Bluetooth devices. However, I can't get to play media with a Bluetooth device connected. I tried multiple bluetooth headphones of different brands. When I try playing YouTube videos with a Bluetooth headset connected, the video won't play properly. Initially I thought it was a problem with the app. I tried visiting YouTube from chrome browser and played a video with Bluetooth headset connected. The video won't play properly and I really couldn't hear anything. I can't listen to music as well with a Bluetooth headset connected. Tried playing music on YouTube Music, Wynk etc. but it doesn't  work. Can take calls though.  Tried resetting network, preferences, rebooting the device, unpairing, and re-pairing the device. This problem appears even in the safe mode.

Contacted Samsung customer support. Spoke to an executive. She asked me to visit a nearby service center. Filed an error report via Samsung Members app. Got a feedback from an executive asking to share the log file and a screenshot/screen recording of the issue that I am facing. Did all that. Eagerly waiting to get this thing resolved.

Does anyone of you face similar issues. I would urge anyone reading this post to be a bit wary of the Android 12 update. Wait for a few weeks before you plan on updating to Android 12.

Hello,

I have had the same problems-i did the update last night-today i couldnt use my headsets anymore-i mean i could-but only when calling someone or being called-but NOT for playing any other type of media on my phone. I wasted a lot of time with support, tryign alone to unpair-repair-blablbla. Support didnt helped me. I found a video that helped me-im not sure if i can put the link so i' ll tell you how to find the video:  google ''bluetooth audio bug fix after android 12 ONE UI 4 update in Samsung A52 Ashok Udhayan'' you ll find his yt video-i didnt understand anyting from what this guy said in t he video  but if you go to his pinned comment , there he tells you what to do.  You have to go into'' developer mode'' ( google ''how to enable the developer options for *whatever phone you have* ) THEN from that menu-the indian guy instructed to '' Enable "Turn Off A2DP hardware offload" option.

TA-DA!~

I cannot tell you how happy i was when i saw that this INSTANTLY fixed my problem and now all works like before.

Unbelievable.....How they released this without proper testing and now we crash our brains and waste time with stupid stuff like this to repair things that should work.

Anyway. I hope someone finds helpful this info, thats why i joined here to share this because i know how frustrating this can be and atleast i found a fix-au contrairy to Samsung-who offered no solution, nothing, they said ''they will send my feedback for the tech to provide further updates''-wich meant quite nothing under these circumstance,  cause i had a pair of headsets that i couldnt use because of this update and no actual solution.

After this update the phone is still pretty laggy, freezing ( wich he never did btw ) , the battery drains WAY ( WAY ) faster and i experienced problems with w-app today ( i couldnt record audio messages-now seems to work but you never know) but nothing compared to the inconvenience of not being able to use the headphones/bluetooth issue.

Hope it works for everyone else and i also hope they wont release such''updates'' who ruin things.

Download this app, you have to open this app through the Apps section in the settings. May it works, it will optimized your device and even increase the overall battery backup & it is created by Samsung too.

I am having a similar issue. My phone no longer works with my Skullcandy ANC headphones. Video lags and there's no audio. Audio and video playback stabilize after I switch to a different Bluetooth device or a wired audio device. This rendered my expensive headphones useless.

But in my case, even when I try different Bluetooth headset(s), it doesn't seem to work. Video freezes and there is no audio.

I had the same thing yesterday-it worked with one pair of headphones, but not with the other.

WIth the instructions  from the video i reffered to in my post from yesterday now my headphones work as before the update.

@nikos_82: In fact, I too chanced upon a video on YouTube yesterday - one that was uploaded by Ashok Udhayan, a guy from Tamil Nadu, India. I believe this is the video you were speaking about. Anyway, that video was really a godsend! It fixed my problem as well. My experience was similar to yours. I took the trouble of contacting Samsung customer support, got remote assistance, did a factory reset as directed by one of the Samsung executives but nothing really helped and I was quite pissed with them and I regretted thinking about the time I wasted doing a factory reset and then reinstalling every single app I previously used.

Samsung should have done enough prep & homework before rolling out the stable Android 12.

Yes, thats the vid that i was reffering to.

Glad it helped you aswell.

I wasnt willing to do the factory reset- as it would have costed me even more lost time and i suspected that was only a very standard message, not actually catered to this very specific situation that i experienced.

I still experience various other issues-minor in comparing to the first one, but still-the system doesnt seem  stable and has a lot of issues, as it can be seen with various other posters who experience diff other things.

I had issues with pressing play on vid/podcast with  the locked screen as i could before, the sound of some notifications sounds metalic....yesterday i couldnt record voice messages with w-app.

Yes, i agree, its been quite a dissapointment and the support should have been prepared to deal with lots of tech problems accordingly, not let us google our problems away.
