Galaxy AAdd apps to the "deep sleep" list to prevent them from running in the background and draining battery.
Clear app cache to remove temporary data that can impact performance and battery usage.
Resetting battery statistics can sometimes help.
Adjust background usage limits in Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits.
Choose options like "Put unused apps to sleep" or "Sleeping apps" to restrict background activity.
If you find this helpful, kindly accept it as a Solution. It helps others
Tap the 3 dots on my reply and select "Accept Solution." Thank you π

Galaxy AAfter an update, the system reindexes files, rebuilds caches, and syncs background data (Photos, Google, Samsung Cloud).
This can last 1β3 days post-update.
2. App Incompatibility
Some apps aren't yet optimized for One UI 7 and may be draining more power.
3. New System Features & Settings
New features turned on by default (like Always-On Display, higher refresh rate, background scanning) may increase drain.
4. Battery Usage Bug
Some One UI updates introduce temporary bugs that cause higher CPU usage or background activity.
---
β Fixes and Optimizations
1. Give It 2β3 Days
Wait at least 48β72 hours. Usage often normalizes after initial post-update syncing.
2. Wipe Cache Partition (very effective after updates)
This clears system cache without deleting your data:
Power off the phone.
Hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears.
Navigate with volume buttons to βWipe cache partitionβ, confirm with Power button.
Reboot system.
3. Check Battery Usage
Go to Settings β Battery β Battery usage.
Identify apps using unusual power. Uninstall or restrict them.
4. Disable/Adjust Power-Hungry Features
Turn off Always-On Display (Settings β Lock Screen).
Limit background usage: Settings β Apps β [select app] β Battery β βRestrictedβ.
Lower screen refresh rate if it's set to 120Hz.
Turn off Nearby Device Scanning, Bluetooth scanning, etc. (Settings β Location β Scanning).
5. Enable Battery Saver / Adaptive Battery
Settings β Battery β Power saving β Turn on.
Enable βAdaptive Batteryβ to limit power for infrequent apps.
6. Update All Apps
Use Galaxy Store and Play Store to update all apps β old versions may conflict with One UI 7.
7. Consider Factory Reset (Only If Problems Persist)
If battery drain continues even after 5β7 days, a factory reset can clear deeper software conflicts.
Backup your data.
Settings β General Management β Reset β Factory Data Reset.
---
π§ͺ Optional: Use Samsung Members App
Open Samsung Members β Diagnostics β Battery.
This can help flag apps or system problems causing drain.
