Battery calibration question

Hey everyone. What's the best and the easiest way to calibrate a phone battery without using apps/without rooting the phone?

Drain the battery upto 0%,Let the phone turn off,Than plug in charger and let your device charge upto 100%,and the again let the battery drain until 0%
I think it should work..
