Resetting before an update doesnt make any sense at all..u can even search in the internet..they too recommend doing it after the update because that is what makes sense..since before an update the device is already in the previous os version...doing a hard reset after the update removes any cache files or anything belonging to the previous os version completely from the system...but this practice just doesnot make any sense when it is done before the update

No, Major update willn't optimize your phone after post reset. If your device is in clean state ( factory reset ) All the apps are the default ones which comes pre-installed or provided by the Samsung during initial setup, so, your device will optimize new update without any issue. Post reset willn't differentiate anything big

I have been following the practice which i said and i havent faced any issues till this moment...anyways what u said is something new to me so anyways i will give it a try to see if there is any difference...but there is one important thing that i will disagree with u anytime on any given day..as i said earlier when u reset after an update all the cache files ,obb files, miscellaneous files or anything which belonged to the previous os version will now be removed but the same wont happen if u dont reset after the update..its very important that anything which belonged to the previous version be completed eliminated inorder to start afresh..if anything from previous version is brought to the newer version then it can cause corruption and thereby leading to unusual bugs..

It is my 7 years of personal experience, I never experienced any bugs after any major updates. If still some bugs appear then it is faced by everyone and will be present even after you update your phone to Samsung Care till Samsung fix them in the next update.

This is into my 9th year of samsung phone...some bugs are genuine bugs which can only be fixed by another software update from Samsung that u rightly said...but other than that i havent faced any serious bugs..

I already said You have to hard reset before and after the Major update.
Many of the users face serious issues even after post-hard reset like Bluetooth headset doesn't work after update, battery draining issue and much more especially in A52s & A52 and they mentioned that they even hard reset their phone after the update if i suggested them to hard reset once.
If they installed a huge number of apps & games, those are interlinked with Processor, Ram & Storage, and other apps in many ways then the maximum number of chances their phone willn't optimize the phone completely & even post reset will not be able to fix it for them completely.

It is stable, but if you have downloaded the update, then before installing them, delete every Samsung and non-Samsung app and disable the many apps you can if you can't uninstall some like play store, Gmail,... etc, then only click on install update & after installing update reset your phone then. Your phone will work smoothly then.
One UI 4 is a very stable update; it will improve your device performance and battery backup than one UI 3.1.
It has mainly two bugs :
1) Video recording is not as stable as earlier but will improve within 2-3 days
2) If you applied color pallete, then for some time, your minimize button will not work, but when you restart your phone, it will not happen till you don't change your color palette again.
