Not every device can get 3 year update policy, there are certain limitations with the hardware compatibility also .
Previously Samsung used to give 2 Android updates to there devices .

As they’re mid range from Samsung, the company apparently isn’t sure that future iterations of Samsung’s version of Android will work on these phones.
Before launching the phone Sansung able to decide, how many Android upgrades it can support on that particular device.
It’s unclear right now what the hardware requirements will be for future updates .
