Galaxy ADear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your concern, we want to inform you that On Galaxy devices, the immersive audio effect is provided through Dolby Atmos for speaker, earphone, and BT (excluding Galaxy Buds) outputs. For Galaxy Buds products, a specialized immersive audio effect called ‘360 audio’ is offered using the Dolby Atmos effect. The system has been updated so that when Galaxy Buds are connected to a Galaxy device, the 360 audio effect is supported instead of Dolby Atmos.
If you want to experience the immersive audio effect with your Galaxy Buds device, please activate the ‘360 audio’ feature (‘Head tracking’ option can be turned off separately) in the settings or through the Wearable app.
● To activate 360 audio option on the device: Settings or Wearable app > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects > turn on ‘360 audio’. For 360 audio non-supported Galaxy Buds models, you can use the Dolby Atmos feature by enabling it through the following steps:
● To activate Dolby Atmos option on the device: 1. Open the Quick Panel > tap ‘Add a control’ > select ‘Sound and vibration’ > add ‘Dolby Atmos’ > turn on/off.
2. Settings > tap the ‘Search’ icon > enter ‘Dolby’ in the search bar > select ‘Dolby Atmos’ under the ‘Sound and vibration’ menu > turn on/off.
If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send).
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
