I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy A36 (8GB/256GB) and separately bought the official Samsung 45W adapter (without cable). I am using the USB-C to USB-C cable that came in the phone's box with the 45W adapter.

However, when I charge the phone using this setup, the charging screen only shows “Super Fast Charging”, not “Super Fast Charging 2.0” as expected. I would like to confirm the following:

  1. Does the inbox USB-C to USB-C cable support 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0?

  2. Is any specific cable (such as an e-marked cable or higher-rated version) required to enable Super Fast Charging 2.0 with the 45W adapter?

High mobile temperature may cause slow battery charging, also if you want to check the temp the the exact watt use accubattery app

Brother, the cable that came in the box of your A36 phone is a 3A cable. For Superfast Charging 2.0, you need a 5A cable. Yes, you are charging with a 45 charger, but it does not support Superfast Charging 2.0. So I would suggest you buy a 5A cable separately and then you will get super fast charging 2.0. This is the main fact 😊

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

We want to inform you that your device supports the super fast charging feature. As you are using the 45-watt charging adapter with your device, it is essential to use a 5A charging cable to achieve the super fast charging 2.0.

However, the cable you received in the box with your device is rated for 3A, which supports superfast charging but not the super fast charging 2.0.

For optimal charging performance, we recommend acquiring a compatible 5A charging cable.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
