I am still waiting for my call back. I hope so. I have seen posts by many South Africans with the same problem. My HT-J5500K/XA included. Do the right thing.

I contacted 4 service centres in Pretoria no one new of this problem or wanted to help without charging a service fee. Nor did they no of the problem. So we are treated differently for living in South Africa? FYI. I am still waiting for a promised call back from your head office.. 😔

Hi Trevor, just read your post about the Bluray player. I've got the exact same issue. also Googled it and it seems to be a Global issue. Have you heard any news from Samsung yet on how the issue will be resolved?

mine is HT-J5550K doing booth loops,took it in for repair on the 22nd of June untill today no update ,if I check the ticket nothing is happening yet it's only taking 4-7 days for those in USA,or you don't have update yet?one last thing is Samsung gonna cover the costs?
