Yeah, I noticed that too. My tablet is the A7 Lite(no stylus support), and these apps are running for free (without premium features available), but I can still log in to my account and do basic work on them.

On the other hand, I saw the S6 Lite tablet (a friend's device), and these apps are not free. The first window that popped up was regarding the Microsoft 365 plan. When I tried to log in to my account and open a document, it restricted me from editing documents.

Here's what I noticed: his tablet supports a stylus, which may be the reason. It could be because Microsoft doesn't want to offer its free services to stylus-supported devices. Even though I checked the app versions and found that my tablet and his tablet are the same, as I mentioned, when I tried to log in to my account on his tablet, I wasn't able to do anything except open the document in read mode. On my tablet, I am able to do all basic tasks.
