OneUI update dates

Everyone wants to know when they will be getting updates on specific dates but it is possible to get it but you have to understand with Android updates in general its very difficult to get it since they do gradual rollouts across different regions. 

Europe, Asia and North America are more important regions who get it first and are bigger markets actually. 

It gets even more complicated when network carriers get involved because they tinker with software to ensure that they push their apps on the firmware or network settings. 

It's a 3 layer approach with the source code, manufacturer layer, and network operator unlike Apple who is in total control from start to finish. 

Once you understand this, you will just make peace with it and wait for the update to eventually appear.. 

As much as I also want updates to appear at the same time with other regions. 

We are stuck with this way of life and fragmentation which is a big issue as you have different devices on different versions especially when you have a large portfolio of devices like Samsung, it becomes a headache to manage.

We understand all of these. But it doesn't justify anything. All those things has to be done well in time. It shouldn't be a problem for them to make their adjustments or tweaks.

I agree with you Sello. Regardless of how the roll out works, there's a published schedule and it should be adhered to. Keeping your word and sticking to the plan is what builds trust with customers.

What features are you really looking forward to in Android 12? Which makes you want it right now

Nothing specific. Better ram management and battery performance. UI 4 in general.

I also agree that it's poor planning or it could possibly be our networks. Beta was released ages ago, the rest of the world was getting the update since late December, I suppose it could also be that Samsung doesn't care about its African customer base...

Same with security and Samsung app updates and limitations, why does the rest of the world get the security updates soon after its released and we get it 2 to never months later, Good Lock... we don't don't get beta access etc.

If anything, it's going to affect sales to a certain extent 🙂
