Why do older models "sometimes" get updates earlier than newer models?π€
Some of us think that a fixed method of the One UI updates goes in a way that newer models will always get updates earlier than older models. That is not how it goes.
The update timeline is influenced by the phased nature of software rollouts, and Samsungβs update strategy, not the model number's numerical order.
This means availability can vary widely.
Let's focus on software readiness and make an example:
A06 and A07. The A06 is older - this makes the A07 new, right? Okay coolβ

But remember, it is not about the model's numerical order.
Sometimes, newer models get the update earlier and sometimes it does not. What I'm trying to say it that there is no fixed method.
Since this is the last update for A06, then the A06 may have had fewer changes needed to adapt Android 16, so Samsung finished its update earlier.
A07 is still new and needs some testing to be done for it to get the updates on certain regions.
Even if an older model gets an update earlier than a new one, there is not problem with your new phones. It's just software matters that are not globally explained to humans. Eligible phones will get the update. If a model is new or old, THAT sometimes counts and sometimes it DOES NOT COUNT. I know we don't want to understand that, but that's how it is.π
I'm glad I was able to enlighten you guys.π
