Z SeriesHi rue_lic, 1. The 'fragility' concern is valid, but the Flip 7 is a tank compared to the early models.
Samsung has moved to a much more integrated hinge design and more durable UTG (Ultra Thin Glass). That said, it’s still a mechanical device with moving parts. If you’re someone who drops their phone on concrete weekly, get a heavy-duty case and insurance.
If you’re generally careful, the 'cool factor' and portability usually outweigh the slight increase in risk.
The biggest change with this model -is the screen strength and dust resistance. Early models felt like magnets for pocket lint that ruined the hinge, but the Flip 7’s improved IP rating really handles daily life better. It’s not 'fragile,' but it does require you to be mindful of things like sand or pressing your fingernail too hard into the inner screen.
