When receiving whatsapp notifications from groups on my watch, it shows the message, but also it says "you were added" every time a message was sent.

Anyone experiencing the same problem? Or have an idea on how to fix it?

Do you have the WhatsApp app installed on your watch or is it the message from your phone showing on your watch?

Next time a message it sent view it on your watch. It might solve the issue.
