While both are similar in design, the new galaxy buds are significantly smaller(30%), The case as well as the earbuds are smaller and they support wireless charging too.

I liked the in ear fit quality of gear icon x better.
I did not got the opportunity to check the galaxy buds but I think I'll stick with Icon X for now.
