WearablesSamsung may start beta testing One UI 8 as early as next month, with a full release planned for August or September. By skipping One UI 7, Samsung can make sure the software on both its Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Phones is in sync.
If you’ve been waiting for Wear OS 5.1 (based on Android 15), it looks like you may have to wait longer. The update could be held off until One UI 8 Watch is ready, possibly alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series in July.
One UI 8 is expected to be based on Wear OS 6, which will be part of Android 16. Along with the software update, Samsung is also expected to introduce a new design and better health features for the Galaxy Watch to make the wait even more exciting for users.
