There was notice prior. You should've checked it. But don't worry, visit the store, I read in an article in internet, they are providing the new watch in exchange of that. But idk this offer stands after the afficial notification by Samsung. Do crosscheck it. The repair should be free of cost as this is a worldwide issue.

My dear they did notify but didn't discontinue the update. When you receive it after so many days, you believe it to be correct.

When you landmines you got to remove all else it will damage someone. Now you can not escape the responsibility by simple info. I hope i am able to make you understand the logic. I dont need replacement, but i want them to simply set my watch right.

Same issue with me, I have contacted samsung, my watch is out of warranty. I took to service center and they are charging 7050 INR to replace the motherboard. Ridiculous that the watch shut off after the update provided by samsung. Samsung should get the repair done for free since the watch was working perfectly fine before the update

Yes same diagnosed to replace motherboard. Horrible. On top they are unaware on the issue caused by the update. They dont know about it. Unbelievable that technicians are not aware anout update
All such bricked watches are diagnosed by them as motherboard dead. Can u beat it.
This happened after samsung released the correct patch
Samsung korea is doing free repair but if samsung india doesnt do it they will loose customers like me and also may face legal issuesScreenshot_20221124_183701_Firefox.jpg

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung customer support.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.

Restart your watch:
1. From the watch's Home screen, press and hold the Home key (Power key). Then, tap Power off.
2. If you have the Galaxy Watch, press and hold the Home key (Power key) and Back key at the same time. Then, tap Power off.
3. After it has completely shut down, press and hold the Home key (Power key) again to restart your watch.
4. The watch will automatically reconnect with your phone or tablet after a few moments. Touch the top of the watch screen and then swipe down to view the watch's connections status.

Restart your phone:
1. Depending on the situation, the issue may not be with your watch, but with your phone or the Galaxy Wearable app. If that's the case, you will need to restart your phone

Check for software updates:
1. When restarting your watch to fix a problem, be sure to check for software and app updates on your watch and to the Galaxy Wearable app.

Optimize the battery on your Samsung smartwatch:

1. Keep your watch and app software updated to the latest software version using the Galaxy Wearable app.
2. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wear app. Depending on your watch, you may need to tap the SETTINGS tab. Then, tap About watch, and then tap Update watch software. Or, tap About Gear, and then tap Update Gear software.
3. Tap Update now or Download updates manually, and then follow the on-screen instructions. If desired, you can choose to automatically update the software by turning on Auto-update or Download updates automatically. The watch will disconnect during this time.
4. After checking for software updates to your watch, check if any updates are available for apps installed on your watch.
5. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wear app. Depending on your watch, you may need to tap the SETTINGS tab. Then, tap Galaxy Store, and then tap More options (the three vertical dots) in the top right corner. Tap My page. If you haven't signed into your Samsung account, you will need to sign in.
6. Tap Update, and then tap the Watch tab to view all apps with available updates. Tap Update all at the top of the screen. Alternatively, you can tap the Update icon next to an app to update it individually.

Turn off unused health-related features on your watch:
1. Press the Power key on your watch, and then tap Samsung Health from the Apps screen. Swipe to and tap the health menu for the function to turn it off. When accessing a health menu, press the Back key on the watch twice to return to the main menu in the Samsung Health app.
2. Sleep: Tap Settings at the bottom of the menu, turn the switch off, and then tap OK to confirm.
3. Heart rate: Tap Auto HR Settings from the bottom of the menu, and then tap Never.
4. Stress: Tap Auto stress settings from the bottom of the menu, and then turn the switch off.

Delete unnecessary storage data and close apps running in the background:
1. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wear app. Depending on the connected watch, it may be necessary to tap the SETTINGS tab. Then, tap About watch or About Gear. Tap Storage, then tap CLEAN NOW and then tap the Back (<) icon. Tap RAM, and then tap CLEAN NOW.

Turn off Watch always on:
1. Press the Home key (Power key) on your watch, and then tap Settings from the Apps screen. Depending on your watch, you may need to tap Display. Tap Watch faces, then tap Watch always on and then tap the switch to turn off the feature.

Do not expose your watch to very cold or very hot temperatures:
1. Exposing your watch to very cold or very hot temperatures can shorten the watch's battery life and could lead to damage.

Customize your notification settings in the Galaxy Wearable app:
1. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wear app. Depending on the connected watch, it may be necessary to tap the SETTINGS tab. Then, tap Notifications, and then tap the switches next to Auto show details and Turn on the screen.
2. Auto show details - When off, new notifications details will not be automatically shown.
3. Turn on-screen - When off, your watch screen will not turn on when notifications are received.
4. At the top of the notification menu, tap Manage Notifications. Then, turn off the switch next to any apps you don't need to be notified of.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Ask question).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm regard,
Samsung customer support
