Samsung is about to launch the Galaxy S26 Series and the Galaxy Buds 4 Series at the Galaxy Unpacked even on 25th February 2026, 23:30 IST. The event is in San Francisco, CA at 10AM PT. #GalaxyUnpacked.

Here is why you should be excited about the new upcoming Galaxy S26 Series.

The Galaxy S26 Series beings key improvements and upgrades to the alreday refined Galaxy S25 Series.

Let us go into each of the upgrades one by one.

First up and the most obvious is the new chipset form Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. This is the most powerful SoC form Qualcomm for the Mobile Platform.

It brings improvements to the already powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite used in the Galaxy S25 Series with enhanced #GalaxyAI.

Next, the upgrades in the camera department.

A flagship phone needs a flagship set of cameras and the Galaxy S26 Series deliveres that.

The camera setup of the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus is exactly the same as Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has got the upgrades packed.

Firstly, the main camera has got an upgrade.

The image sensor, Samsung ISOCELL HP2 200MP 1/1.3" is a very capable sensor and has received upgrades under the hood.

The more interesting upgrade is the aperture of the main camera. It is upgraded to a bright f/1.4 from the previous f/1.7 of Galaxy S25 Ultra.

A brighter aperture means more light intake which results in better photos and videos and less noise in low light environments.

The next notable upgrade comes to the 5x telephoto camera. The image sensor is the same but the aperture is now a much brighter f/2.8 form the f/3.2 of Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The 3x sensor has been changed but as per industry sources it is smaller than the one used in Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The UltraWide and Selfie remains the same.

Now comes the battery and charging department.

The Galaxy S26 now spots a 4300mAh battery, a whole 300mAh more than the 4000mAh of Galaxy S25. The charging speed is 25W max.

The Galaxy S26 Plus has the same 4900mAh battery as the Galaxy S25 Plus.

The charging speed is 45W max.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery, same capacity but it now charges at a much faster 60W speeds.

The batteries are Li-ion and the capacity is typical rated.

Notably on the form factor side, Samsung has managed to get the thickness down to 7.9mm for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The Display department:

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has the most advanced Display on a Galaxy S ever.

1. It has the excellent anti-reflective coating.

2. It has a much stronger and scratch resistant glass.

3. It has a new feature where the pixels can act a certain way to make the display unreadable at certain angles. This is Privacy Display and it hides senctive content form the people around you who are trying to peek into your phone.

4. It is a 10-bit Display.

Last but not the least, the design.

It is much refined and has the same kind of camera module as the Galaxy Z Fold7, giving it a cohesive and premium look and identity.

Overall the Galaxy S26 Ultra is truely a upgraded flagship.

The Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro now spot a refined design similar to Galaxy Buds 3 Series.
