Unpacked 2026Since I'm already in the "Ultra" ecosystem, here is why I should be excited for the February 25, 2026 Unpacked event in San Francisco.
📱 The Galaxy S26 Ultra: What’s New for me?
While my S25 Ultra is a beast, the S26 Ultra is rumored to fix the small "pain points" and push the tech even further:
The Ergonomic Shift: One of the biggest rumors is that the S26 Ultra will finally move away from the sharp, boxy corners of your S25 Ultra, opting for slightly rounded edges and a thinner 7.9mm profile to make it much more comfortable to hold.
"Zero-Peeking" Privacy Display: Samsung has teased a new screen technology that makes your display invisible to people looking from the side—perfect for when I'm in public and don't want others seeing your messages.
Performance Jump: I will be moving from the already fast Snapdragon 8 Elite to the Elite Gen 5, which benchmarks suggest runs even faster and significantly cooler.
The 16GB RAM Standard: While some S25 models had 12GB, the S26 Ultra is expected to ship with 16GB of RAM globally to handle the next generation of AI.
🤖 A New Era of #Galaxy AI"
The software side is getting a huge boost with One UI 8.5:
"Hey Plex": Samsung has officially partnered with Perplexity AI. I will be able to use "Hey Plex" for deep web searches and complex tasks alongside Gemini and Bixby.
Multi-Agent Ecosystem: my phone will act as an "orchestrator," using different AI models for different tasks (e.g., using one for photo editing and another for research) seamlessly.
🎧 Beyond the Phone
We are also expecting:
Galaxy Buds 4 series: Rumored to have a refined design with better "find my" features for the case.
Smart Glasses Tease: We might finally get a first official look at the Samsung XR glasses!
