  • Galaxy S (2010)
It was arrived with a huge4-inch(bigger screen of hat time)Super AMOLED display,1GHz Hummingbird chipset, 5MP Auto focus 720P Hd camera & Front VGA,with plastic body design & for that time this phone was monster among all.
  • Galaxy S II
After succes of Galaxy S ,Samsung launched Galaxy S II (launched in 2011) as successor.It was thethinnest phone in the world at the time of its arrival, measuring just 8.49mm, and also came with an improved hardware with2MP Front 8MP Rear camera with Flash and vivid Super AMOLED display in comparison with its predecessor and because of it, this smartphone got,"smartphone of the year" award at mobile world congress.
  • Galaxy S III
After winning some good award and heart of their fan, Samsung launched successor of S-Series as Galaxy S III (launched in 2012) with the gorgeous display, super-fluid performance,redefined Touchwiz UI & something crazy for photography enthusiasts-Burst Shot for capturing action shot like fun jump-in-the-air shots. Both camera Front 1.9MP and Rear 8MP supported the mode, which allowed users to take up to 20 pictures in 3.3 seconds. There was a feature a Best Photo mode, which helped users select the best photo out of eight continuous shots, and a Zero Shutter Lag mode, which guaranteed that there would be no delay between the moment the user tapped the shutter button and the picture was produced.
  • Galaxy S4
The S4 (launched in 2013) came with a larger display, speedier SoC, improved camera, and even more feature-rich TouchWiz UI, while being even more compact than its immediate predecessor. Samsung improved their camera from this series by giving a combination of 2MP front camera & a 13MP rear camera. From this device PIP (picture in picture) mode was introduced & other unique feature includedSound & Shot. Now it was the time when photography enthusiasts started loving Galaxy device as they got features which was not available in any other device at that time.
  • Galaxy S5
With the Galaxy S5 (launched in 2014), Samsung Made their first device to be water- and dust-resistant,it attracted attention of their Fan. In S5,Samsung added first in smartphone industry to feature a16MP ISOCELL camera.ISOCELL image sensor enhanced image quality with less cross-pixel interference, making it possible to take clearer pictures even in the dark. The camera also featured an upgraded HDR mode for enhancing photos.
  • Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge
After giving 5 Successful S series, Samsung launched S6/S6 Edge in 2015 , introduced body ofGlass and metal in a slim body that become eye-catchy. A great improvement in harware,for super sharp Quad HD panel arrives for an even crispier experience: 2560 x 1440 pixels,it was more than on most laptops of at the time. But here, Samsung removed three features that many people loved in the S5: the water protection, the removable battery and the microSD card.
The S6 edge, on the other hand, introduced thedual curved display feature, which was a first for Samsung and for the complete industry.For Photographer, Samsung introduced a Quick Launch camera function (can launch camera in 0.7 Sec) simply by tapping the home button twice on any screen. A function that automatically tracked and focused on moving objects enhanced image sharpness, whileimproved 5MP F1.9 lens was installed on the front to boost selfie quality.
  • Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
After huge succes of Samsung S6/S6 Edge (launched in 2016) Samsung launched a regular Galaxy S7 and a radical curved-screen Galaxy S7 Edge which was bigger and bolder.Thebiggest changes in these phones was the fingerprint in home button and camera department: first in industry to adopt the Dual Pixel auto focus technology (a technology featured in high-end DSLR camera) that allowed the camera to focus incredibly quickly. The S7 series also delivered a big improvement in low-light photos and were widely considered as a big step forward for smartphone photography. Samsung bring back two of the removed (was removed in S6) features in the S7 series: water protection rating and a microSD card for expandable storage, but theremovable battery that was removed from the S6 series was gone forever.
  • Galaxy S8 / S8+
The Galaxy S8/S8+ (launched in 2017) introduce much slimmer bezels,Samsung moved the front-facing fingerprint sensor (home button removed) to the back(with camera module). The Galaxy S8 introduced animproved image signal process algorithm which gives clear, stable images regardless of time or place. It achieved this by taking three consecutive photos and selecting the best one. The device’s 6.2-inch large display was difficult for some to manage with one hand,so theyadded gesture-based controls to help users operate. For example, with the camera open, swiping left or right with your thumb would toggle filters or modes, while swiping up or down would switch between front and rear camera. These were the first phones to come with Bixby.
Apart from that, the Galaxy S8 family was powered by the QualcommSnapdragon 835 processor(in US) Exynos 8895(rest world).
  • Galaxy S9 / S9+
With Galaxy S9/S9+ (launched in 2018) an improved camera with dual aperture (F1.5/F2.4) that promised better low-light photography, as well as overall enhancements in performance.The S9 were powered by the top of the line chip for the time, the Snapdragon 845(in the United States), Exynos 9810 chip (in india) and had 4GB of RAM (S9) and 6GB of RAM (S9 Plus). The GalaxyS10’s HDR10+ support produced true-to-life colors in videos, while its 16MP Ultra Wide Camera captured scenes as users saw them with a field of view that was similar to the human eye (123 degrees).

Galaxy S21 (launched in 2021) series comes in three model-the compact 6.2" Galaxy S21, the larger-screen 6.7" Galaxy S21 Plus, and even bigger 6.8" S21 Ultra with the most advanced camera setup of the three. All three phones share a lot in common: all were powered by the same top-end 
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip (US) Exynos 2100(other than US), all support 120Hz fast refresh rates and all run on Android 11 with the Samsung's customOne UI 3.1 that brings sleeker looks and added functionality.The Galaxy S21 and the S21 Plus have identical triple-camera setup, with a main, ultra-wide and a 3X hybrid zoom telephoto camera. The S21 Ultra a 108-megapixel one, an ultra-wide shooter, two telephoto zoom lenses, one at 3X zoom, and another one of the periscope kind that provides 10X zoom & 100X Space zoom in shots. As for the batteries, the S21 comes with a 4,000mAh cell, the S21+ features a 4,800mAh battery and the S21 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery capacity. 
  • Galaxy S22 / S22+ / S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S22 (launched in 2022) brought a change in aspect ratio and an Ultra model that for the first time in the series featuring a built-in S Pen and a squared off design, much like a Galaxy Note phone.The S22 Ultra retained the familiar quad-camera setup with a 3X and a 10X zoom cameras in addition to the main and ultra-wide shooters. With improvements to the cameras and a commitment to longer software updates, the S22 series were a gradual improvement.

So,S series after 13 year reached to S23 starting from S1 (launched in 2010). Many improvement can be seen from 5 MP Auto Focus Camera,single camera setup without Flash to 108 MP manual camera,Triple setup camera with Laser Focus Flash. Samsung improved a lot over the time. But one thing is common- all device whenever it was launched, all were monster of their own time. & i think this is the main reason of huge fan following.
