How to enable swipe gestures (Swipe from bottom, Gesture hints) on the Galaxy S24

With the new update to the navigation bar settings on the Galaxy S24, the Swipe from bottom and Gesture hints options have been simplified but can still be enabled via Good Lock's NavStar app.

Notes:

• Effective for NavStar app version v6.1.05.33 and later.
• The Good Lock app supports English, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.

Download Good Lock and NavStar

By installing Good Lock’s NavStar app, you can further customise your Galaxy S24 to suit your preferences.

Step 1. Download the Good Lock app from Galaxy Store.

Step 2. Open the Good Lock app > Download NavStar in the Make up tab.

Enable extra gesture settings

When you activate the Enable extra gesture settings option in the NavStar app, you can see the added options in the navigation bar settings in Display.

Step 1. Open Good Lock app > Tap NavStar in the Make up tab.

Step 2. Tap the switch On to enable extra gesture settings in the Swipe gestures tab.

Set up the Galaxy Swipe gestures (Swipe from bottom, Gesture hints)

After enabling Enable extra gesture settings, additional options appear, such as Button order and Gesture hints.

Step 1. Open Settings > Display.

Step 2. Tap Navigation bar.

Step 3. Select Swipe gestures > Tap More options.

Step 4. Select the desired swipe gesture and button order.

Step 5. Tap the Gesture hints switch to enable the feature.

Hello. Thank you for the information. However, please be aware that the official Goodlock app is not compatible with our platform. It is functional in other regions. As a moderator, I believe this is an issue that should be addressed for us users.

The thing is that not all Galaxy users will be able to enjoy the Good Lock app on their phones because it is limited/restricted to certain countries/regions only, which I think you guys behind this post are aware of.

I wish I was able to download the Good Lock app along with the modules from the Galaxy store without relying on a third-party app on another app store or website. Anyway, it is what it is.

Use fine lock if you are in south Africa. Same thing as goodlock.

GoodLock is still region-blocked/geo-blocked for me on both the Samsung Store and Google Play Store. When will this be available for everyone?

👎🏻 Samsung has the bad habit of removing great features that their premium phones initially come out with. Unfortunately, another bad habit is that they later prohibit those phones from even running GoodLock and restoring some of those features.
So much for the extortionate price of their premium phones 💔

Samsung should open good lock for all regions. It does not make sense why some regions get it and others not. I understand that perhaps with 3rd party customization apps some regions/carriers would block it in order to play it safe with regards to "bricking" the phone, but this is officially samsung apps/software and have honestly never heard of a customization app being blocked. So... What gives?!? 🤷
