well to be honest u can't if the phone was sealed and does not have -r at the end of serial number it is not refurbished also u can check manufacturing date if it is recent then it will not be refurbished
it can be tracked while purchasing from the site itself. If the information is not available and you need the information then you can visit the service center, they will check from imei code and tell u the details on the sale status of the same.
