galaxy m31 Gmail issue

I am using my I phone from the August of 2020. Whenever I open the Gmail app I have to always refresh the mails page to get the new mails, I never receive mails notifications, is it a bug????

Hi, you need to enable sync to get emails and if you need notifications also then long press on Gmail goto app info and click on notification to change from blocked to allow.
