Tech TalkMany consumers, even techy peoples still believe that those “bug fixes & performance improvements” you receive for your apps every single week are actually bug fixes and security improvements.
But let me explain that
They’re not in most of the cases
In fact, most of those updates do not actually contain anything that improve the app in any way, shape, or form or fixing any vulnerability
Now, you may think If those updates don’t do anything at all, why update them?
Isn’t it unnecessary work to schedule an update every week in the app store?
The reason for these seemingly unnecessary updates may surprise you, because it’s not related to software , hardware & It’s not even related to technology.
The reason is purely psychological. By updating so frequently, it gives consumers the illusion that developers are constantly improving their app, and not just sitting on their asses all day doing nothing. Of course, they’re not doing nothing, but there’s no way for consumers to know that unless there is some way of giving them the impression that the developers are doing everything they can and listening to consumer complaints.
⚠️Kindly note here i am not saying about all the apps & i have no intention to insult any respected developer & there are still good developers with bug fixes & performance improvements.
