A lot of Windows 10 users are facing compatibility issues owing to the TPM 2.0 requirements.

“While this PC doesn’t meet the system requirements to run Windows 11, you’ll keep getting Windows 10 updates,” the error message reads.|#+|

What are the requirements?

According to a Microsoft support page, in order to download Windows 11 on PCs, users need to meet certain hardware requirements. These are: 1GHz or faster processor with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB or larger storage space, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 and a graphics card that is compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.

What the problem is

These specifications make Windows 11 compatible with almost all top machines and desktops and PCs. So, perhaps Microsoft’s PC Health Check Tool is incorrectly reporting ‘This PC can’t run Windows 11’ even in cases where devices are supported.

What Microsoft is doing

Microsoft is well aware of the issue and it is actively taking steps to mitigate the problem. For starters, Microsoft has removed its PC Health Check Tool for the time being. It will be available later this year. “We’re going to improve the PC Health Check app over the next couple of weeks,” Microsoft has said in response to the issue.

However, one important thing to remember is that Windows 11 has not been officially rolled out for everyone. That is expected to happen in October. Till then users can access a beta version only. The final version will have most glitches removed after all the testing has been done.
