Front camera is a upgrade not downgrade
And bezel is not visible too and no one would notice

S23 Ultra is an upgrade from S22 Ultra lol if u dont know why too post wrongly

I'm currently using S20 Plus not sure why u said downgrade but S23 Ultra is an upgrade for all user even from S22 Ultra as it had boiler SD 8 gen 1

And related to Zoom yes ! There are imporvements till 30x in S23 ultra

150x Zoom and new Tele lens will be used in S24 Ultra so next year upgrades are for other lens

This year for front and main lens
