Problem: My folders show "Nothing" message when i tap on any folders in my Gmail account in my smartphone. I tap on three horizontal lines:
Then i get a list of folders on left hand side:
Then I get either 'Nothing' in folder message or i see only few messages present in folders. For example, as i tap on 'Spam' folder, then I get a message 'Nothing in Spam':
Have my 'Spam' folder & other folders become empty? Have messages in my folders vanished?
Solution: Your folders may or may not be empty. Scroll down on the 'Nothing' message page on your palmtop/smartphone screen. For example, Scroll down on 'Nothing in Spam' message screenpage. You will see a circular line moving clockwise on top portion of your screenpage. Messages in Spam folder shall become visible after a while if there are any such Spam messages. See the following screenshot.
This applies also to all other folders. If you notice only few messages present & others missing in your any other folder, just scroll down the screenpage of your palmtop. Then, all messages in that specific folder shall appear after a few seconds.
