How to backup your Samsung phone using Samsung Cloud?

To back up your Samsung phone using Samsung Cloud, follow these steps:

🔄 Step-by-Step Guide to Backup with Samsung Cloud

1. Connect to Wi-Fi

Make sure your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid using mobile data.

2. Open Settings

Go to your phone's Settings app (gear icon).

3. Access Samsung Account

Scroll down and tap on Samsung account (or your name/profile at the top of the Settings menu).

4. Go to Samsung Cloud

Tap Samsung Cloud.

If it's your first time, you may need to sign in with your Samsung Account.

5. Choose ‘Back up data’

Under "Backup and Restore", tap Back up data.

6. Select What to Back Up

You can choose the types of data you want to back up, such as:

Contacts

Calendar

Messages

Call logs

Clock

Settings

Home screen layout

Apps

Photos & videos (only if Gallery Sync is enabled)

7. Tap Back Up Now

Tap Back up now to start the backup process.

Wait until the process finishes. It may take several minutes depending on how much data you’re backing up.

🧩 Optional: Turn on Auto Backup

To keep your data regularly backed up:

In Samsung Cloud, tap Auto back up.

Toggle the switch ON and choose what data to include.

🔍 Notes:

Samsung Cloud does not support files, music, or third-party app data.

For full backups (including files and apps), consider using Smart Switch or Google One backup as well.

Samsung Cloud’s Gallery Sync feature is no longer available in some regions (replaced by Microsoft OneDrive).
